SIDC Weekly bulletin on Solar and Geomagnetic activity #
——————————————————————
WEEK 1016 from 2020 Jun 15
SOLAR ACTIVITY
—————
Only one active region was visible at the beginning of the week (NOAA 2765), with an alpha magnetic field configuration. It did not produce any B flare or larger, and it rotated over the western limb by 16 June (Wednesday). There were no obvious Earth-directed CMEs and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal levels throughout the week.
GEOMAGNETIC ACTIVITY
———————
The solar wind close to the Earth was between 300 and 350 km/s the entire week. The interplanetary magnetic field was between 0 and 7 nT. On June 16, there were some periods where DSCOVR data showed speeds close to 450 km/s, but these were marked as bad data, so not real. Geomagnetic activity was mostly at quiet levels, with some isolated K Dourbes reaching 3, NOAA KP stayed at 2 or less throughout the week.
